What do you do when something goes wrong? Blame George Bush!

I’m not an expert on oil spills, but from what I’ve been reading about the Gulf oil spill, it looks like BP is 100% responsible for the damage. I don’t think many reasonable people would disagree. Of course, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is far from reasonable:

“Many of the people appointed in the Bush administration are still burrowed in the agencies that are supposed to oversee the [oil] industry,” Pelosi said when asked if Democrats could have prevented or mitigated the crisis by keeping a closer watch on the industry.

Added the Speaker, “the cozy relationships between the Bush administration’s agency leadership and the industry is clear…I’ve heard no complaints from my members about the way the president has handled it,” Pelosi stated.

Another example of Barack Obama’s poor judgement

Senators John McCain and John Kyl requested that 6,000 troops be sent to the Mexican border. In a move designed to show he did something while not doing much at all, Barack Obama approved just 1,200 soldiers be sent to the border. It’s pretty obvious Barack Obama doesn’t see border security as a problem.

I have a great idea. Next time the President is looking for a place to take the First Family on vacation, he should choose a place near the border. It’ll be great! The kid’s immersion among Spanish speaking residents will help the kids pick up the language, and the excitement can’t be beat. Besides aliens crossing the border, and many of them committing crimes, we have an ever expanding drug war straddling the U.S./Mexico border. It’s just like a midsummer Hollywood action film! Unfortunately, it’s not made up, and Americans are suffering. » read more

If the United States is so bad, you can always leave

I just found this video linked from The Drudge Report. The man in the video is a high school history teacher addressing a La Raza rally. During his speech, he talks about “racist white people,” refers to America as the “belly of the beast,” and calls California “stolen, occupied Mexico”. As you will see, he also talks about the fight against capitalism and imperialism.

While watching this video, one question kept coming to mind: Why doesn’t he leave the United States and move to Mexico? If the United States is so evil, then leave here and go to a place that is more to your liking. In the video, he mentions his hero Hugo Chavez. Venezuela sounds like it would be a great choice, especially if you don’t mind the inflation rate of more than 30%. » read more

Barack Obama thinks illegal immigration is funny

While gangs, kidnapping, and drug trafficking are running rampant in Arizona, Barack Obama is cracking jokes. Do you still wonder why illegal immigration is such a problem? Mr. Obama and his fellow leftists should just come out and advocate an open borders policy once and for all. After all, his administration is acting like it is already our policy.

Michael Bloomberg is wrong again

Is it just me, or does Michael Bloomberg seem pretty quick to dismiss the idea of a foreign terrorist? Not only that, but he seems intent on pinning it on a conservative who might not like the recent health care bill. Not surprisingly, it looks like Mayor Bloomberg was 100% wrong.

Authorities have arrested 30 year old Faisal Shahzad who was trying to escape on a flight to Dubai. Shahzad came to the United States form Pakistan in 1999 and became a U.S. citizen in 2009. It seems that many officials, like Michael Bloomberg, are reluctant to admit that this terrorist act might have originated from a foreign country, even though there is some supporting evidence. » read more
