Barack Obama thinks illegal immigration is funny
While gangs, kidnapping, and drug trafficking are running rampant in Arizona, Barack Obama is cracking jokes. Do you still wonder why illegal immigration is such a problem? Mr. Obama and his fellow leftists should just come out and advocate an open borders policy once and for all. After all, his administration is acting like it is already our policy.

Illegal aliens and the 2010 census
Five states poised to add a congressional seat may end up losing out because of poor participation rates in the 2010 census. New York, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and California are all lagging, and might have quite a bit to lose. As you probably know, the Census helps determine representation in the House and federal funding.
As I looked at the list, I noticed that 3 of the states are along the Mexican border and have a large number of illegal aliens entering the state. Well, it looks like New York and Florida are in the same boat. It turns out that California (1), Texas (2), New York (3), Florida (5), and Arizona (6) make up five out of the top six states with the most illegal aliens. Is this merely a coincidence? Could some other variable be at work? That’s certainly possible, but you must admit that it is some coincidence. » read more

No charges brought against Ben Roethlisberger, but he’s still punished

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wasn't charged in a sexual assault case, but was punished anyway.
Ben Roethlisberger was accused of sexual assault by a 20 year old woman. Police performed a thorough investigation and decided there wasn’t enough evidence to bring charges against him. Think about this: Not only was there not enough evidence to convict him, but there wasn’t even enough evidence to bring charges. Despite this, Ben Roethlisberger will be punished.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has decided to suspend Roethlisberger for the first 6 games of the season. The suspension will cost Roethlisberger nearly $3 million in salary, and could be even longer if the League isn’t satisfied with the progress of his behavioral evaluation. Goodell readily recognizes that Roethlisberger wasn’t charged, but in a letter, he points out other actions that evening that undermine the “integrity” of the NFL: » read more

Arizona allows individuals to carry concealed weapons without a permit

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signs concealed weapon bill into law.
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed a bill into law which allows adults to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. It’s nice to see that some places still take the 2nd Amendment seriously.
This bill has its detractors, but they clearly aren’t thinking straight. They might be worried about honest citizens carrying guns, but I’m not. What worries me are criminals who carry weapons for the sole purpose of committing crimes. You can pass a law banning people from having guns or carrying them without a permit, but in the end, the only ones who will follow it are honest, responsible citizens. Criminals will continue to carry guns, since someone who regularly assaults or robs people probably won’t care much about breaking another law. » read more

Arizona is moving in the right direction on illegal immigration
Legislators in Arizona are working on a bill which would make it a crime for illegal aliens to be present in the state. It would also make it a crime to transport or employ an illegal alien. Similar bills have passed the legislature before, but were vetoed by former Governor Janet Napolitano, who obviously has an affinity for those who disregard our laws.
This is exactly the type of law more states should enact. Bleeding heart liberals who look at the United States as the world’s homeless shelter seem to ignore the convenient fact that illegal aliens are breaking federal laws and trespassing. In the words of Sen. Russell Pearce:
“When you come to America you must have a permission slip, period,” said state Sen. Russell Pearce, the Mesa Republican who sponsored the bill. “You can’t break into my country, just like you can’t break into my house.”
Well said Senator.

Thank you, Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Arizona Sherrif Joe Arpaio
We need more people like Sheriff Joe Arpaio:
PHOENIX – The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona has launched a two-day, countywide crime and immigration sweep that authorities say will focus on drop houses, drug violators and human smuggling vehicles.
Four hundred deputies and volunteer posse members are taking part in the patrols. The sweep, which began Thursday, is Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s 14th since early 2008.
During the sweeps, deputies flood an area of a city — in some cases heavily Latino areas — to seek out traffic violators and arrest other alleged lawbreakers. » read more

Child abuse in the Catholic Church…again
Many European Catholics are coming forward with allegations of abuse against priests and other members of the Church. So far, the most allegations have come from Ireland, with a growing number in Germany. Strangely, it seems like some people are surprised by the number of children abused in Europe. I guess they believe these types of things only happened in the United States. The only thing that surprised me is that these allegations weren’t made sooner.
As in cases in the United States, priests and other members of the church are being accused of abusing children, while the Catholic Church kept everything quiet, while offending priests were moved to other parishes to harm a new community of children. If that wasn’t bad enough, it appears that Pope Benedict might have also shuffled pedophile priests from one parish to another. » read more

Here’s a way to cut California’s deficit in half
I came across an article today, and I’m having trouble believing what I read. It discussed California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s idea of paying to build prisons in Mexico to house prisoners who are in the U.S. illegally. Schwarzenegger claims that the plan could save the state more than $1 billion, which could be used for higher education.
So, why am I in disbelief? It’s because of some stats provided by the Governator: Out of 170,000 inmates in California’s prison system, more than 20,000 are undocumented workers illegal aliens. Don’t liberals always say that undocumented workers illegal aliens come here to earn an honest living (after trespassing of course), and that they contribute more financially than what they cost? Well, these numbers seem to fly in the face of their reasoning. » read more

Airport security measure violates child porn laws?
I have an important message for you, and it’s very important that you read it slowly and understand it completely. Here it goes: There are people out there called terrorists, and they like to kill people, often by blowing them up. We need to do everything we can to stop the terrorists and protect innocent people.
You might think that message is simplistic and goes without saying. If you feel this way, you probably have an IQ over 50. Unfortunately, there are too many people in the world who are terribly out of touch and don’t understand the reality of the world. This type of (or lack of) thinking is displayed perfectly on the topic of using body scanners at airports. As you may know, a terrorist linked to Al-Qaeda attempted to blow up a plane with 300 people on Christmas. You would think that this act would be enough to convince people of the dangers we face, but obviously, it’s not enough. » read more

Miranda Rights under fire
When it comes to the law, I’ve found that some of the most knowledgeable people are criminals. These are people who spend an inordinate amount of time looking for ways to commit crimes, and because of their contact with law enforcement, have a thorough knowledge of the criminal justice system. That’s why I find it laughable that some Supreme Court Justices find that those under arrest are frequently confused about their Miranda Rights.
Miranda rights are pretty simple: You don’t have to say anything, and you have the right to an attorney. It seems simple because it is simple, but some of our esteemed Justices feel that Miranda Rights are a bit difficult to understand. Here are Justice Stephen Breyer’s thoughts: » read more

Mike Huckabee’s poor decision
I find it hard to believe that Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Maurice Clemmons while he was the Governor of Arkansas. You might recall that Clemmons the was person allegedly responsible for murdering four police officers while they were sitting in a coffee shop.
Clemmons went on a crime spree while in his teens and was sentenced to 48 years in prison. Despite this, he was released, sentenced to another 60 years for additional crimes, and allowed to go free by Mike Huckabee. Soon after moving to Washington, he committed more crimes. He was recently released on bail for child rape, assaulting a police officer, and seven other felonies. » read more

Roman Polanski to be released on bail?
A Swiss court has decided to release Roman Polanski on $4.5 million bail. As of the moment, Polanski is still in jail, but will be released if the government doesn’t contest the decision. If he is released, he will stay at his chalet and be monitored electronically. The court feels he isn’t a flight risk, since he has two minor children and a wife who he needs to support.
This is a shocking decision. Here is a man who didn’t feel he should have finished a small amount of jail time 32 years ago and fled the country. He has proven how little respect he has for the justice system and deserves to stay in prison until a formal extradition hearing is conducted.
Of course, Roman Polanski feels he can do what ever he wants. He gave champagne and quaaludes to a 13 year old girl, raped her, and only received a slap on the wrist 32 years ago. That was obviously too much for him in his opinion, so he fled.
Hopefully, Roman Polanski will be extradited to the United States and face the consequences of his decisions. The legal system went easy on him last time. If there is any justice, that won’t happen again.

ACORN document dump is probably a coincidence, right?
Just days after California Attorney General Jerry Brown announced an inquiry into ACORN, that organization engaged in a massive document dump. In all, the organization threw out more than 20,000 documents. I know you might think the whole situation looks fishy, but it must be some terrible misunderstanding. I just find the possibility of ACORN doing something unethical to be completely unfathomable. By the way, just in case you missed it, I’m hoping the heaping helpings of sarcasm came through.
You might think that the document dump is no big deal, and that certainly could be true. After all, throwing away 20,000 documents days after an investigation is announced isn’t that suspicious at all. It really could just be the result of some employees clearing out the office. By the way, many of those documents included the names, addresses, social security numbers, and drivers license numbers of employees or people paying membership fees. Disposing of such material in a haphazard manner is a crime in California, since such a find would be an identity thief’s dream. » read more

Investigate the Muslim extremist and law enforcement
Major Malik Nadal Hasan, who murdered 12 people and injured 30 at Fort Hood was allegedly known to U.S. intelligence officials. Now, the big questions are these: Why weren’t his views questioned and why was he promoted to major?
Hasan’s coworkers stated that it was rather apparent that he saw himself as a Muslim first, and an American second. Now, we find out that he was associated with a radical mosque leader who was associated with two 9/11 hijackers and had this to say: » read more

Don’t jump to conclusions about Fort Hood shooting? Too late!
Major Malik Nadal Hasan went on a rampage at Fort Hood, killing 12 people and wounding 30. Hasan’s computer has been seized, and investigators are working hard to find more information. Of course, a great deal of questionable information about Malik Nadal Hasan has come to light. That’s why Barack Obama telling Americans not to jump to conclusions seems so ridiculous.
During the attack, Malik Nadal Hasan allegedly shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” during the attack. This is an arabic phrase which means “god is great.” Before the shooting, Hassan also seemed to tie up lose ends by thanking people for their friendship and clearing out his belongings. It’s like he was planning on not making it back. » read more
