I saw a headline concerning an uproar over a controversial movie poster (pictured above). The movie poster for Les Infideles, shows a man standing between a woman’s legs, while her feet are near his head. Not only wasn’t I offended, but I couldn’t see why anyone would be bothered by it.

Stephane Martin of the ARPP, France’s advertising regulator, asked that the posters be removed because they,

“present a degrading image of women, because in both cases you do not see the woman’s face…. This is certainly presenting an image of women as objects, in this case sexual objects,”

Hold on. The problem isn’t that he is standing between her legs, or that it’s sexually charged? It’s because he can’t see her face? So, if she were on a bed with her dress around her waist, and her face were visible, it would be perfectly acceptable?

I really think France’s “advertising regulators,” need to develop some common sense…and a sense of humor.

Today, Donald Trump announced that he will be endorsing Mitt Romney for President. Some were surprised that Trump didn’t choose Gingrich, and right up until the announcement, there was suspense over what he would announce. For the life of me, I can’t understand why anyone would care who Trump endorsed.

Donald Trump is little more than a reality star. Does anyone care what the cast members of Survivor, Big Brother, or American Idol think about the election?

Sure, Trump mentioned the idea of running himself on numerous occasions, but decided against it. In my opinion, it was nothing more than a ploy to get his name in the news and boost ratings for The Apprentice. The new season of The Apprentice begins in two weeks, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this announcement were planned.

Here’s my guess: Donald Trump will find another “announcement” he has to make around the time of the season finale. If Romney falters, he might also bring up the idea of running again. Anything for ratings.

Does anyone know if Michele Bachmann is being supported by the major labor unions? I wouldn’t have thought so, but according to actor Alec Baldwin, it appears that way. Here are some quotes from his Twitter feed:

“Fear Bachman bc she is raising so much money,” Baldwin tweeted. “Anyone that inarticulate and full of shit who is raising money that fast…is beholden to some mighty thuggish interests.”

Thuggish interests? Unions were the first ones who came to my mind. Although, it could be another group of formerly liberal constituents. What about the New Black Panther Party? They’re pretty Thuggish.

At any rate, if Bachmann begins appealing to the natural thug base of the Democrats and Barack Obama, she could end up walking away with the Presidency.

Irish Rock band U2 doesn't like paying taxes, but likes to suggest ways to spend taxpayer dollars.

It’s no secret that Bono and his U2 band mates aren’t fans of high taxes. Most people aren’t, but U2, and Bono in particular, are quite possibly the biggest hypocrites around. They like to champion causes requiring taxpayer dollars, but don’t like to actually contribute the money that would finance that spending.

Last night, at the band’s Glastonbury performance, a group called Art Uncut hoisted a large balloon that read, “U pay your taxes 2.” Of course, security shut that down quickly, since it isn’t permissible to expose U2′s charade.

If you’re a fan of U2, and in particular, their “selfless” humanitarianism, how does it make you feel that they’re dodging taxes that would help the people they claim to care about? I’m curious to see if this affects their standing with their fans. My guess is that it won’t.

It looks like U2 lead singer Bono likes spending taxpayer dollars, but not paying taxes.

Some people in Ireland are criticizing U2 and Bono for avoiding taxes in Ireland by moving operations to neighboring countries, where tax rates are lower. The group is planning on staging a very visible protest at an upcoming show to bring attention to the band’s actions.

Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with U2′s actions. What some people forget is that besides being a band, U2 is a business. In order to maximize profits, you need to analyze your expenses and keep them down. Finding a place with a favorable tax climate makes perfect sense. The problems arise when you look at the band’s actions over the years and realize what hypocrites they are.

Bono has often lobbied politicians to spend more money (taxpayer’s money) in developing nations, and other various programs. Bono is a very generous guy when attempting to hand out other people’s money, and there lies the problem. When someone is eager to encourage public spending, but attempts to shield their own earnings, they lose credibility. In my opinion, Bono’s credibility is zero.

I just visited Alexa.com to check out the ranking for PerezHilton.com. For those of you who don’t know, Alexa provides traffic rankings for websites. Think of it as Neilsen ratings for websites. Anyway, after checking the rankings, I saw some disappointing statistics. Out of the tens of millions of websites in the world, PerezHilton.com is ranked 784th in the world, and 264th in the United States.

Why do I bring this up? Last night, Serene Branson of CBS2 was reporting live from the Grammy Awards, when her speech suddenly started to deteriorate and turn to gibberish. Some have speculated that her speech problems looked like the symptoms of a stroke.

After it happened, Perez Hilton thought it was quite funny:

“Someone call an exorcist!” jokes Hilton, who calls Branson’s coverage “HIGHlarious.”

If you find a young woman experiencing stroke symptoms on live television amusing, then you would probably enjoy Perez Hilton’s blog. If you’re disgusted by it, I suggest you consider checking out different entertainment blogs.

What does a pop star do to distract people from the fact that their music is bland an uninspiring? They use gimmicks, stunts, props, and other nonsense to distract the sheep in the audience. If you need an example, look no further than Lady Gaga’s arrival and performance at the Grammy Awards.

Lady Gaga arrived in a translucent egg that was carried by four men. One of her assistants claimed she was “in an embryonic stage and won’t be born until the performance.” If you think I’m wrong, think about it: What is everyone talking about? Are they talking about her performance, or the the egg womb and the prosthetic shoulders? I rest my case.

In a sign that there is still some sanity in the world, Esperanza Spalding beat Justin Bieber for best new artist. Imagine that, talent beating out album sales and magazine cover appearances!

Lindsay Lohan has been charged with grand theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store. I mention this because if she is found guilty, she needs to do some serious time. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of seeing celebrities skate by with a slap on the wrist. A couple of days in the county jail aren’t enough.

Have you been following the “South Park” situation? If you haven’t, here’s a quick summary: The creators portrayed the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit, which angered a Muslim group. On their website, the group posted pictures of Theo Van Gogh, who was murdered after one of his films offended some Muslims. The site hints that a similar fate may await “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

“South Park” makes jokes about everyone, and they’re usually quite funny while they’re doing it. As a matter of fact, Jesus has a recurring role on the show! As far as I know, no one has threatened the creators over their portrayal of Jesus, and no Christian groups have threatened death.

Since 9/11, many have gone out of their way to describe Islam as a religion of peace. From observing the reaction to a cartoon, along with many other situations, it doesn’t seem very peaceful to me. It’s unfortunate that Comedy Central has decided to give in to threats by censoring the work of Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Their actions send all networks down a slippery slope where freedom of expression is hampered by bullies.

On a recent episode of “Law & Order,” the show’s liberal bias was once again on display. In an episode which dealt with illegal immigration, a character made this assertion:

“Limbaugh, Beck, O’Reilly, all of ‘em, they are like a cancer spreading ignorance and hate…They’ve convinced folks that immigrants are the problem, not corporations that fail to pay a living wage or a broken health care system…”

So, if you are to believe Dick Wolfe and those on the “Law & Order” team, anyone who believes the United States has the right to determine who can or cannot enter the country is spreading ignorance and hate. If you mention that illegal aliens are taking jobs and bringing down wages, you’re spreading ignorance and hate.

I could be wrong, but I think the ignorant ones here are the people who twist conservative messages to suit there own twisted views. Dick Wolf and people like him favor open borders, and from his comments about corporations, harbor a disdain for the free market. If Mr. Wolf doesn’t like the United States and the free market system, there’s a place called Venezuela that he would love.
