A great example of Grammy Awards nonsense

I’m an atheist, but the picture above irks me for a few reasons.

First, it’s an example of just how low pop music has gone. “Musicians” need to pull stunts like this to get attention from reporters, photographers, and interviewers, because their talent sure isn’t going to get them noticed. What’s the matter? Wouldn’t Lady Gaga let her use her cocoon or meat suit?

Second, notice how certain religions seem to be off limits to jokes and other criticism, yet Catholicism and Christianity in general seem to be great targets to poke fun at. Can we have some consistency? » read more

What does a pop star do to distract people from the fact that their music is bland an uninspiring? They use gimmicks, stunts, props, and other nonsense to distract the sheep in the audience. If you need an example, look no further than Lady Gaga’s arrival and performance at the Grammy Awards.

Lady Gaga arrived in a translucent egg that was carried by four men. One of her assistants claimed she was “in an embryonic stage and won’t be born until the performance.” If you think I’m wrong, think about it: What is everyone talking about? Telephone from Afghanistan

Have you ever heard the song “Telephone” by Lady Gaga and Beyonce Knowles? I’m not a fan, but I can definitely appreciate this reenactment done by U.S. soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. It looks like the guys made the video for some friends and family, but it went viral and will likely end up getting millions of hits.
