Socialist Elle Macpherson supports Barack Obama

Model Elle Macpherson

Model Elle Macpherson turns her back on common sense.

Supermodel Elle Macpherson was recently on the Howard Stern show. At one point, the conversation turned to politics:

HOWARD STERN: Who should be the next President of the United States Elle MacPherson, go ahead.

ELLE MACPHERSON: I think Obama’s going to do it.

STERN: You like Obama?

MACPHERSON: Yeah, I’m living in London and I’m socialist. What do you expect?

STERN: And you’re living in London and you sense what other foreigners feel. Do they like him?

MACPHERSON: I think foreigners like him. He’s very popular.

Fidel Castro likes Obamacare

Fidel Castro thinks Barack Obama did a great job bringing Obamacare to the masses. My only question is when Hugo Chavez will release a statement of support and admiration for Barack Hussein Obama’s latest government power grab.

During the election, many of the Obamessiah’s followers would quickly disagree with any criticism of his socialist tendencies. After taking over banks, insurance companies, car companies, the health care industry, and student loans in just 14 months, is there any doubt what this man is up to? I’m waiting for him to take over a news organization next. He can have his own state run media outlet, just like Hugo Chavez. Hey, do you think MSNBC is available?

Socialism, climate change, and hypocrisy

Hugo Chavez spoke at the climate summit in Copenhagen and was greeted by loud applause. Here is an excerpt from his speech, which sums up his over all message:

We could say that there is a ghost lurking. To paraphrase Karl Marx there is a ghost running through the streets of Copenhagen. And I think that ghost is silent, somewhere in this room, amongst us. Coming through the corridors and underneath. And that ghost is a terrible ghost and nobody wants to name him or her. It’s capitalism. Capitalism is that ghost. Nobody I don’t think wants to name it. Capitalism. I’ve also been struck by some of the signs outside this conference. One sign in particular that reads, “Don’t change the climate … change the system!” I particularly liked that one and would add to that by saying that by changing the system, we could save the planet. The destructive model of capitalism is eradicating life.

Criticisms of Barack Obama are often misplaced

Barack Obama billboard in Denver, Colorado

I recently read about the billboard pictured above. There’s no doubt the ad is controversial and is looking to stir emotions. I’m glad to see more people questioning the President, but I’m not happy about the direction the inquiries are taking.

Barack Obama has a lot of questionable views and associations, but many of his critics are pursuing dead ends. The biggest one is the birth certificate issue pursued by the birthers. I find it rather arrogant that the President never disclosed the long version of his birth certificate, but I believe he is a naturally born U.S. citizen. Besides the short form certificate that has been made public, there were birth announcements in both local papers. Why would his mother have gone to these extremes if he were not born in the U.S.? He would have received citizenship through her if he were a foreign born citizen. Of course, if you’re a real conspiracy theorist, you could make the assumption that she predicted that he would run for President one day. If you believe that, I have a bridge I’ll sell you. » read more
